Let's get Sailing

Hopes, dreams, destinations, projects...
What are you creating in your life? Are you acting on it—or just hoping on it?

Me? I’m really good at the dreaming part. The wishing, the imagining, the planning. But the acting part? That usually takes a push. I either don’t know where to begin or I keep waiting until everything is “just right.”

I’ve started a handful of blogs over the years, but I’ve been consistently inconsistent about posting. Why? Because I convince myself every post needs to be perfect—polished, profound, and packed with a fresh point of view. I’ll spend one day writing a draft, another day editing, and yet another second-guessing whether it’s even worth sharing.

Should I send it out into the universe?
(Enter: the inner critic.)
“Ugh. This sounds ridiculous. There are way more talented writers out there.”

So I file it away in a folder on my desktop... Maybe I’ll rework it someday.
Hopefully before a fatal mishap prevents me from deleting the embarrassing prose altogether.
(#burnthejournals, anyone?)

That’s fear in action.
But here’s the flip side: there’s pain in inaction too—the quiet ache of not doing the thing we’re drawn to do. The regret of resisting what calls us simply because we feel like we’re not enough.

So I’m doing it differently now. I’m releasing the mooring rope—the one that kept me safely tied to the dock of perfectionism. This post goes out. And so will the next. And the next.

No drafts.
No guarantees of brilliance.
Just movement.

Each post will be a step forward. And with each step, there will be improvement. Direction. Perspective that only comes once you leave the dock behind.

Are you with me?
Take one step. Just one action step toward what you want.
It could be as simple as sharing your dream in the comments.

Let’s do this. ❤️
